Ever heard of the demoscene? It is this amazing community of recreational and competitive programmers. The point is to use code to create the most amazing graphical creations and impress everyone with artistic algorithmic brilliance.
The demoscene taught me so much about being a good programmer, and I thought I'd give you all the opportunity to join in on the fun and learn how to create some great demos!
I will guide you through the following:
- Old school demo effect concepts
- Modern-day demo effect concepts
- Entry to shadercoding on Directx12
- Tools of the trade
- How to be creative with mathematics
- Bringing it all together to a demo-concept
So bring out your graphic calculators, and let's get those techno beats going and learn how to paint and create worlds with maths!
